Sometimes all we have to do is to look at what are around us to learn some values. Learn from the unexpected to teach. That should make learning interestesting.
Let's start with the pencil.
Is that all the values we can teach with pencils? You can teach them how to be creative with it and I am not talking about sketching.
That is what taking care of the environment is about. Re-use when you can and reduce usage by writing online.
